In a game that contained numerous twists and turns, it was Ryan Howe who straightened things out for the Red Lake Miners.
The rookie forward scored the winning goal with 2:43 left in overtime on a power play to give the Miners a wild 6-5 win over Dryden GM Saturday night.in Dryden.
The Miners thought they had things in the bag in the third when they grabbed a 5-3 lead but the Ice Dogs scored two late goals to force extra time.
Earlier in the game, Dryden GM owned a 3-1 lead.
Both teams scored three times with the man advantage.
Leading the way for Red Lake was Rajvir Sangha with a pair of scores, while Ethan Stuckless, Morgan Venne and Tucker Evans added singles.
Jordan Pitari powered the Dryden GM attack with three goals, while Josh Gardner scored twice.
