A Dryden man has been fined $5,300 for offences related to deer hunting, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
MNRF officers executed a search warrant on a Dryden property on May 11th and found a small buck, a doe and a fawn spoiling in the shed behind the house.
Officers determined the deer were hunted during the 2018 deer season but the fawn was killed without a license.
MNRF officers then say all three deer had been field dressed and left to hang in the shed over the winter, but as the spring temperatures increased, the deer began to spoil and became unsuitable to eat.
The MNRF says Roy (Joey) Parker of Dryden pleaded guilty to unlawfully permitting flesh to become unsuitable for human consumption and was fined $4,500 and also received a 4-year big game hunting suspension.
Parker also plead guilty to unlawfully hunting a deer without a license and received a fine of $800.
