The Dryden GM Ice Dogs exploded for three goals in the third period en route to a 5-1 win over the visiting Wisconsin Lumberjacks Sunday afternoon.
It was a big day for the”Warrior” connection with Sioux Lookout’s Kendall Schulz scoring twice, Cortez Favot earning two assists and Ben Forbes picking up a helper.
Josh Gardner scored his first SIJHL goal, while Evan Pakkala and Justin Pitari.
Dryden GM fired 21 shots on the Wisconsin net in the final frame, finishing with 41.
Dawson Rattai made quite a debut for the Ice Dogs stopping 50 shots in his first Junior hockey game.
Dryden GM is now 3-1 and is tied for first in the standings with Red Lake and Thunder Bay.
The Ice Dogs return to the ice next Friday at home against Fort Frances.
