It’s time to get warmed up and prepare for the 9th Annual Red Lake Road Run.
The family friendly event is Sunday, September 29th starting at the high school.
Organizer Michelle Parrish was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today (Thursday) to promote the run.
“The proceeds support the Red Lake District High School athletics program. So, we run a pretty robust program here at Red Lake High and we really appreciate everyone coming out and supporting that through this event.”
The “Little Lamb” loop for younger participants will start things at 9:00am.
Anyone can take part in the 5-kilometre, 10-kilometre and 21-kilometre run starting at 9:15am.
Parrish says the event is geared towards everyone as they’ve had participants with strollers and pets in the past.
The Red Lake Road Run is considered the most northern half-marathon in Ontario.
