Dryden has won its first Winnipeg High School Football game of the season and it comes against their arch rival.
The Eagles defence was once again strong and Dryden recorded a second quarter touchdown and a two point convert in a 8-2 victory in Kenora Friday.
The Broncos got close to the end zone on two occasions but the defence was able to hold them off the board.
They recorded three fumbles, while Fynn Livingston recorded an interception.
Brody McMurrich led the way with six tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Koen Taylor notched his first sack of the year and also had a forced fumble.
Quarterback Troy Kirouac scored the Eagles major with a 30-yard run.
He then hit Dom Morriseau on the two point conversion.
Kirouac finished with 102 yards on the ground.
The game was dubbed as the ‘Pulp Town Throwdown’ as both the Eagles and Beaver Brae Broncos entered without a win.
Both teams had to endure heavy rain and lightning.
Dryden will look to make it two in a row at home next Thursday.
