The 17th annual Alzheimer Society Ride for Memories was another success.
Executive Director for Kenora/Rainy River Rossana Tomashowski says they are still counting but right now they have collected over $38,000.
Tomashowski says they event attracted some 80 riders and 120 people for dinner.
A bulk of the money will support the Music program.
“We started in 2016 with about 3 people and now we are over 120. The cost to get the iPod’s, earphones, the screen protectors and the wall chargers and the cords. It’s really expensive.
The money will also be used to support programs for those living with dementia.
Red Lake will be the host community next year and the event is scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd.
