The national environmental assessment agency is clearing an access road for Webequie First Nation so it can go on to the next public comment stage.
They’ve accepted the initial description of the 107-kilometre all-season road linking the remote northern community to the Ring of Fire.
The project is one of the steps towards connecting the First Nation to the provincial highway system.
Further comments on the project are being accepted until October 1st.
