A stiff test for the Dryden Eagles High School Football team.
The Eagles host the powerhouse Miles Mac Buckeyes (1-0) this afternoon. (Thursday, September 12th)
Defensive Coordinator Neil McLeod says the Buckeyes have a good sized offensive line and a nice looking running-back and they seem to execute well.
Dryden dropped their opener at home last week.
McLeod says “We certainly felt last week against Kildonan that we let one get away. We certainly underperformed from our expectations. We know that we have a good team, we are young, but we are certainly looking to build on what we learned from last week.”
He notes their team is primarily made up of Grade 9’s and 10’s and they did very, very well last week considering they don’t have a lot of experience.
McLeod says they will be taking a “one game at a time” approach and build on each and every match-up.
Game time is 4 o’clock at Harry McMaster Field.
