Another successful Household Hazardous Waste Collection day is in the books.
Dryden Rotary and City workers took care of 386 vehicles during the free clean-up blitz on the weekend.
More than 11,000 kilograms of hazardous goods were diverted from the City landfill.
Among the items collected included paint cans, bundles of asbestos, mercury and pharmaceuticals.
Some 29 volunteers helped host the one day event and organizers are planning to run it again next year.
