Tragedy in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout.
One person is dead after being struck by a Canadian National Railway train around 12:06am on Thursday, September 5th.
Provincial Police received a report of a pedestrian being hit in the CN Train Yard in the area of Third Avenue and Front Street.
A post mortem exam is being held in Kenora tomorrow (Friday, September 6th) to confirm the identification of the victim and to notify next of kin.
OPP and CN Railway Police are investigating.
Foul play isn’t suspected.
