Back to school is not only the mantra for students, but teachers and administrators as well.
Derek Haime is the Director of Education for the Kenora Catholic District School Board and he says he plans to visit all of their schools in the next week or so.
That includes St. John’s in Red Lake.
Haime notes he’s able to visit Red Lake at least six or seven times a school year.
He says “Seeing all of the great things that all of the staff are up to with our students this year. It really grounds me and really (gives) clarity and direction for me so that I know what I am doing matters, even though my efforts are a little more indirect.”
Haime adds he’s “getting towards the last of my ‘firsts’. The calendar year will flip over later on. That will kind of mark my first year, so I am really enjoying start-up.”
