A learning experience for a young Dryden Eagles High School Football team.
The Eagles stayed with Kildonan East Collegiate for the first half but ran out of steam in a 26-0 setback Thursday in the season opener at Harry McMaster Field.
Kildonan East cashed in on offence following a critical Eagles interception and entered the half with an 8-0 lead.
Dryden’s defence kept the team in the game making several big stops and creating some timely turnovers but the offence struggled to move the ball.
The Eagles will look for a bounce back effort next Thursday.
