It’s the first day of school for students at Lakehead University and Confederation College.
Sarah Lewis is the Student Success Director at LU and she says they are welcoming over a thousand new students this fall.
Lewis says the motto the school has adopted this year is “Ignite Your Adventure.”
“And that’s really what it feels like. It’s the very starting point for this new students adventure in the educational experience.”
Lewis notes there is plenty of excitement right now.
The school held some fun orientation activities last week.
Elementary and high school students in our area return to the classroom on Wednesday, September 4th.
