The roster is set for the ‘AAA” Kenora Midget Thistles Hockey team.
There is plenty of Dryden representation on this years team including Evan Armit, Ben Hackl, Nathan Ho, Colin Lapointe, Jeff McMenemy and Peter Zilkalns
New Head Coach Ryan Reynard says he was impressed with what he saw at the weekend Training Camp.
Reynard says he was pleasantly surprised with the effort level and notes there was some good skill on display.
He admits it’s a young team this season.
Reynard hopes that youth will give them an edge.
“Certainly we are going to be an underdog a lot of the nights but we must believe in ourselves and we got to be a team that’s going to work harder out there and if we give ourselves an opportunity to win every night, that’s all we’re looking for.”
Reynard says now they have to establish systems and get everyone on the same page.
The regular season starts on September 28th as the Thistles host the Brandon Wheat Kings.
