Bob Nault is officially in campaign mode.
Nault was named the Liberal candidate for the Kenora riding on Sunday.
He says waiting a little bit later to receive the nod helps his team build momentum heading into the October election.
“This is all about your own team. When you’re in an election campaign, building a volunteer base, getting everybody excited about wanting to get out there and pound on doors for you, put up signs for you. So we always try and build momentum like we did in Dryden on Thursday and in Kenora on Sunday.”
Nault adds that’s his strategy and it has always been a good one for him.
Nault is right now up against Chief Rudy Turtle of the NDP, Eric Melillo of the Conservatives and Independent candidate Kelvin Boucher-Chicago.
