The Federal government is out with $41.2-million in funding to renovate the Kasabonika Lake First Nation School.
The upgrades and additions to the existing school will allow for the addition of more students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
A new 3,000 square metre school will also be constructed to allow to accommodate roughly 180 Grade 7 to 12 students.
Work is already underway to improve teacher accommodations.
Construction of the new school and renovations and additions to the existing school are expected to begin in 2020.
