The finalists for the Sunset Country Spotlight have been set – and two are from Dryden.
Finishing first among the finalists is Mike McCaig from Fort Frances.
Second finalist is Dryden musician Ethan Armit with Dryden group Ragged Road rounding out the top three.
The three finalists will meet in the Sunset Country Spotlight Saturday, August 31, from2pm to 6pm on the LOWBRECO Stage at Anicinabe Park in Kenora.
During the Final Three live performances, audience “votes” cost $1 each. No limit to number of votes per person. Voting is open for the duration of the performances from 2pm until 10 minutes after the last act performs. The artist with the most votes will be crowned the Sunset Country Spotlight Champion. Trophies presented to the two runners-up and the “Judges Choice” Award. All proceeds collected from voting go to local school music programs to encourage and support future musicians.
The Spotlight Champion will have their music played in regular rotation on Acadia stations across Sunset Country from September 1 to November 30, 2019.
