Muriel MacKenzie
June 27, 1929 – August 22, 2019
Muriel Ethel MacKenzie (nee Penney) born June 27, 1929 in Sydney, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and is now safe in the arms of Jesus.
She passed away from this life on August 22, 2019 to a more glorious one to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all eternity.
She is predeceased by her husband Everett MacKenzie and infant son Ernest, parents Harold and Mildred Penney from NFLD, three sisters and many others. She is survived by her two sons and two daughters; Edward (Donna) MacKenzie of Coquitlam, BC, Dave (Nikki) MacKenzie of Cochrane, Alberta, Lorna (Art) Gonske of Dryden, Ontario and Loretta (Wayne) Harvey of Halifax, NS as well as 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren from coast to coast.
Muriel loved life and the giver of it, full of smiles and laugher, she could be heard saying “are we having fun yet?”. Worry was not a part of her world, she trusted that all things work together for good. She worked for many years at Dalhousie University, binding books, etc. She loved to bake, read her Bible and have company, also travel places with her husband Everett from NFLD to Mexico and Florida.
Until we meet again dear Muriel…mother, sister, grandma and friend. Earth’s loss is heavens gain. We love you forever.
