Premier Doug Ford is promising transitional funding to help municipalities with planned provincial cuts starting in 2020.
Ford is moving ahead with cuts to public health and child care.
However, Ford says support will be provided “So you can continue to deliver important services that people rely on every single day.”
Ford adds there will be no changes to the structure of the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund for next year.
He also said land ambulance funding will increase by 4% or $26-million in 2019-2020.
Today at the @AMOPolicy conference, I shared our commitment to building strong, local partnerships with municipalities. We're investing $144 billion over the next decade to make life better and easier for the people in our communities. #AMOConf19 pic.twitter.com/LKRSOxoxsc
