Dale Anderson
July 18, 1968 – August 10, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dale Kenneth Anderson Sr. announce his sudden passing on Saturday August 10th, 2019 at the age of 51.
Dale was born on July 18th, 1968 in Sioux Lookout to Kathleen Kitchkeesick-Wynn and Kenneth Anderson (both predeceased). He spent the younger years of his life at his grandpa’s tourist camp Sam’s Lodge and Outposts in Allanwater. He loved spending time with his family and worked hard to provide everything for them. He went on to serve 12 years as a Special Constable for Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service in Sioux Lookout.
Dale loved heavy metal music. Liquid Metal on Sirius XM was one of his favourite radio stations to listen to. He attended many rock concerts over the years, and got to meet his idol Jose Mangin in Chicago, 2017.
He was an avid football fan, and could be found at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers home games with his wife, Dorothy.
Dale was known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humour, and positive outlook on life. He was always supportive of his family, and always offered a helping hand to those who needed it. He always encouraged others to live life to the fullest.
Loved ones that will miss him dearly are his wife of 21 years Dorothy Lynn, children Nicole Sheree (James), Cynthia Louise and Dale Kenneth Jr., his granddaughters Amber and Claire, and granddog Zita. His older brother Brad (Mary) and younger sister Bonnie. His mother and father in-law Louise and Robert, along with many other extended family and family in-law.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 2 – 8 p.m. with Prayers at 3 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Alan Campeau officiating.
Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Avenue, Dryden, ON P8N 2X3
