The Trudeau Liberals have made an investment to support a documentary series on language and culture in Sandy Lake First Nation.
The feds are spending $285,053 to help launch season two of the series, Ni-dibaa-chimo-winum or “Our Stories.”
The money will support the community Media Outreach program, which engages multimedia production professionals who work with local youth to produce culturally and regionally relevant media content.
The group will use the funding to develop and produce the program, which features the people, stories and realities of life in their community.
