Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is sending his condolences after two separate mass shootings in the U.S. that killed at least 29 people.
The first happened at a busy shopping complex in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday morning.
Twenty people were killed and more than two dozen others were hurt.
One person was taken into custody.
Horrible news from El Paso today. Canadians are grieving with our American neighbours and friends for the lives that were senselessly taken, and wishing all those injured a speedy recovery.

John Bash, U.S. Attorney for the West District of Texas, says the Department of Justice is investigating the shooting as an act of domestic terrorism.
As I just said at the press conference, we’re treating El Paso as a domestic terrorism case.
And we’re going to do what we do to terrorists in this country—deliver swift and certain justice. #ElPasoStrong #USA https://t.co/dYhHXKrh9v
