A fun family and community event in support of the Special Olympics is being held in Dryden tomorrow. (Saturday, July 27th)
It’s the Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run and the fundraiser is a joint venture between Dryden Police, Provincial Police and Treaty #3 Police.
Organizer Denise Szachury was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today (Friday) to promote the event.
Szachury says “Anybody can attend. It is 100% free to attend. You can come on down to the police station at 10:30. We will be meeting there in the back parking lot of the Dryden Police Service.”
“At 11:00, we are going to walk, run or bike the route and then we are going to end up at the front of City Hall around noon for the barbecue and the games.”
There will also a Bouncy Castle, Horse Rides and a Slip n Slide.
Szachury says they are hoping for a big turnout and notes it’s a great way for everyone to spend some time with one another.
