Dryden Police say a man is in custody after a long foot-chase around the city.
Police say on Wednesday at around 10:30am they saw a man who was wanted by the Dryden Police Service and the accused immediately fled.
Police then say they chased the accused through yards and streets from Pitt Avenue to Ross Street to Earl Avenue and at one point the accused was seen on a bike trying to escape the pursuit.
Dryden Police say the chase gained public attention as citizens began calling in the location of the accused.
Police say finally around noon they apprehended the man with a short struggle and they were further assisted by a retired police officer.
Dryden Police say 36-year-old Frances Charles Perreault is in custody and faces multiple charges for failing to comply with a probation order, resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
