One of the all time great figure skaters from northwestern Ontario is making a comeback.
The retired Eric Radford is lacing up the skates once again to take part in a new season of Battle of the Blades.
The competition series features former male and female hockey players who swap their hockey skates for figure skates and perform various routines.
The product of Balmertown is one of seven pro skaters selected to perform.
The show has been on hiatus since 2013 but is being brought back by CBC for a fifth season.
The season premier is set for September 19th.
Radford and former partner Meagan Duhamel were two-time world champions, seven time Canadian champions and both have Gold, Silver and Bronze Olympic medals.
