Chancler Pollard
April 17, 1930 – July 13, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Chancler Pollard, age 89 of Dryden, Ontario, on Saturday, July 13, 2019, peacefully and surrounded by his wife and son.
Born in North Branch, Ontario on April 17, 1930 to Joseph and Jeannette Pollard.
Chancler and Elsie (Desserre) were married on September 3, 1957 in North Branch. They spent several years there before moving to Dryden in 1962.
Chancler spent his whole life working outside cutting and skidding pulp wood. He loved to fish, go camping and gardening.
Chancler is survived by his wife Elsie, son Stephen, two special nephews; John (Colleen) Pollard and Terry (Rose) Pollard, brothers; Clarence (Arlene) and Donny (Maria) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Chancler was predeceased by his mother and father, brothers; David, Laverne, Eugene, Lawrence, Clifford and Gary and sisters Shirley and Helen.
Special Thank You to all the staff at Princess Court who provided such great care to Chancler.
Visitation will take place on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. until time of service at the Dryden Community Funeral Home.
A Traditional Service will take place on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating.
Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date in North Branch, ON.
