Marjorie Elinor Cote (Hansson)
May 10, 1936 – November 13, 2018
In loving memory of Marjorie Cote who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the Dryden Regional Health Centre following a short battle with cancer.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Percy and Lilly Sheil, brother Edward, husband Kenneth Cote, daughter Charlene Gollub, sisters-in-law Erna and Faith, nephew Galen and best friend Frannie Perkins.
Marjorie is survived by her sons Carl Hansson (Barb), Calvin Hansson (Maria), daughters Catherine Daley (Larry) and Tammy Armstrong (Ronald), special son-in-law Bruce Armstrong, brothers Arthur Sheil (Fran), Winston Sheil (Margaret) and Meredith Sheil, sisters Edith Oke (Basil) and Evelyn Oke (Ron) as well as 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special dog and best friend Fancy Face.
Marjorie spent several wonderful years hunting and fishing with her late husband Ken and numerous other relatives and friends. When she wasn’t hunting or fishing, you could find her gardening and growing the most beautiful flowers you’ve ever seen. She loved to travel, taking several road trips and vacations across Canada with Ken. Her favourite being the East Coast. She was known to everyone in her family for her amazing cooking, which always included big meals with several desserts, often quoting “a shy pig is a skinny pig” while tempting guests to eat more and more.
Marjorie was an extremely loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be loved, remembered and missed very much for the rest of our lives.
Thank you to Dr. Jollymore and his nurse Rikky Apland as well as NP Leah Habinski for their loving care and compassion while taking care of Marjorie.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A Come and Go will take place at the Dryden Legion on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 1-3 pm. The family invites you to come and share your memories.
