It’s time to take the plunge.
The 2nd Annual Dryden Police Service Polar Plunge is July 1st at Cooper Park.
Organizer Denise Szachury was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today (Thursday) and she says all proceeds support local Special Olympic athletes.
Szachury notes they recently sent a large group from the high school down to Toronto for the Special Olympic World Games.
She says “a lot of the fundraising that we are going to be doing is going to go towards supporting those type of events”.
Szachury says they are now looking for individuals to participate in the Polar Plunge.
She says those taking part will jump into a dunk tank full of ice cold water.
