The end of another school year is almost here and that means a number of students are getting ready for graduation time.
Ceremonies for students at Dryden High School are being held at the Memorial Arena on Friday, June 28th.
Teacher Cindy Palermo and Grade 12 students Emma Lang and Gabby Lugli joined the CKDR Morning Show today (Tuesday) to talk about this years Grad.
Palermo says graduating students have received seven tickets each for family and friends to attend the ceremony.
Lang says a big part of the ceremony is the selection of a valedictorian.
She notes students submit a sample of their speech as well as a letter on “why they believe they should be valedictorian”.
Lang notes a student-led Committee will review all submissions, without knowing who the student is, and make a selection for the top honour.
