All of the evacuees have returned home to Pikangikum First Nation.
The forest fire that threatened the remote northern community is now considered under control at 3,835 hectares in size.
The final group of displaced community members have boarded a plane from Kapuskasing.
Pikangikum’s chief adds they truly appreciate the efforts of all host municipalities.
The First Nation is also dealing with the death of 16-year old Kelsey Strang, who died after being hit by a vehicle while staying at Kapuskasing.
