Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout are currently dealing with a rash of thefts.
OPP say they have received 18-reports of stolen property in the past 45 days, which is up 200-percent from the 6 reported in the same timeframe last year.
Missing items include bikes, dirt bikes, boats, tools, and other valuables left in vehicles and buildings.
Police stress in most cases, the items weren’t locked up.
‘Lock It Or Lose It’ patrols will continue throughout the Summer in Sioux Lookout.
Police also encourage property owners to conduct a home security assessment to identify areas where their property may be left vulnerable.
