The Dryden Fire Service is adding some temporary experience to its team.
Council has agreed to the hiring of Wayne MacIssac as Interim Deputy Fire Chief and Interim Community Emergency Management Coordinator.
City Chief Administrative Officer Roger Nesbitt says MacIssac will serve both positions on a temporary basis.
MacIssac comes from Niagara on the Lakes and has 36-years under his belt in the fire fighting industry.
He is a retired Fire Chief and a career fire fighter.
Nesbitt says MacIssac will help the municipality in emergency management services and assist efforts in the recruitment of a permanent Fire Chief.
Cora MacRae is currently serving as acting Chief.
