The Provincial Big Game Management Advisory Committee is now pouring over all of the information it received on ways to improve the moose hunting draw.
A total of seven community consultations were held, with stops in Dryden and Thunder Bay.
An online survey was also used to get input.
Committee Chair John Kaplanis says they will be working closely with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry to develop a final report.
Kaplanis stresses they won’t satisfy everybody, but they want a package that will satisfy a bulk of hunters.
He notes “we are going to try identify trends in where hunters are kind of thinking things need to go and then we are going to see if we can formulate recommendations to submit to the Minister that reflect as many moose hunters sentiments as possible.”
