A community wide celebration is just one day away.
“We Love Dryden” is tomorrow (Saturday) with games, activities, music, food and an evening Arena Dance.
Organizer Mardi Plomp says the event starts at 10:30am with a parade.
She stresses anyone can participate and the staging area is at Harry McMaster Field with registration starting at 9:30am.
Plomp says they will be raising money to maintain public benches, install a walking track at the Arena as well as hospital improvements.
Plomp notes the response from the corporate community has been overwhelming.
She mentions the organizing committee has already received about $14,000 in donations from businesses who have pledged $100 to have their names etched on the benches.
