Eagle River and Oxdrift are both being identified as potential sites for a new LCBO Convenience Outlet, formerly referred to as Agency Stores.
They are two of 200 possible locations across the province the LCBO says it hopes have in place within the next year.
There are ten proposed for northwestern Ontario.
The LCBO is now accepting applications from interested businesses.
Meantime, the province also intends to allow more grocery stores to sell beer, wine and cider.
It’s eying sales in 87 stores on top of the more 350 now in place.
