A Heat Warning has been issued for much of our area.
Very hot temperatures are expected Friday and Saturday as a warm air mass moves over parts of Northwestern Ontario from the United States.
Maximum daytime temperatures are expected to be near 30 degrees both Friday and Saturday with minimum overnight temperatures near 18 degrees.
Cooler air is expected to arrive on Sunday.
The Warning covers Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Ignace and Fort Frances. All other towns in the area are under ‘Special Weather Statements.’
Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
Check on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
