The instructor of the J&M Judo Club in Kenora is the winner of the 2019 Hiroshi Mitani Award.
Jon Hensrude has received the prestigious award from the Dryden School of Judo.
The honour was presented to Hensrude for continuing and maintaining levels and standards set by Mitani since 1952.
Mitani is known as the Father of Judo in the North West region.
