With deepest sorrow, we announce that David Richard Thompson, age 55 years, our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away suddenly on Wednesday May 1st, 2019 at his home in Port Hardy B.C.
David was born August 24th, 1963 in Geraldton, ON. David was the first born to Richard and Mildred Thompson. David attended Geraldton Public School until the family moved to Dryden, ON in 1977 where David attended and graduated from Dryden High School. While attending High School he loved basketball and football and he was part of the Eagles Teams from grade 9 to grade 12. After leaving Dryden, David headed west, working at various jobs across the country before finding his forever home in Port Hardy B.C. working in the mountains as a forester.
David is survived by his mother Mildred Thompson, sister Kelly Thompson (Cheryl), brother Jim Thompson (Denise), nephews Mitchell, Matthew and Cole Thompson, several aunts, an uncle, cousins and many close friends. David was predeceased by his father Richard Thompson.
A Private Family interment will take place at a later date.
