It’s opening day at the Dryden and District Museum for a new exhibit looking back at the history of women in the community.
The “Making a Home: Early Women of Dryden” exhibit will open with a reception this evening starting at 5pm and will run until 7pm.
Cultural and Tourism Coordinator Bethany Waite says it will cover stories of women in the first 50 years of Dryden.
One of the women featured is Gertrude McDonald who was a war bride who came over after World War 1.
Some notable other women include Alice Watson, Lily Skene, Eunice Annis and many others.
They also say if residents have any stories of women in Dryden they wish to share please let them know.
