It is with great sadness the family of Heather announces her passing at the age of 64 in Thunder Bay, ON June 22, 2018. Heather was born in Dryden on December 8, 1953. She was the oldest of 5 girls. She grew up in Vermilion Bay, receiving her education in Vermilion Bay Public School and Dryden High School. After her marriage, she lived in Red Lake Road, Thunder Bay, Leduc, AB and returned to Thunder Bay, where she resided until her passing.
Heather worked in grocery retail wherever she lived until she fell ill with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.
Predeceased by her husband Dennis Westergard, parents Joel and Georgina Lindquist, twin brothers Joel and Robert Lindquist, sister Julie Degenhardt and her husband Stan, sister Lori Wong and her partner Guy Docs.
Heather is survived by her sisters Sherry (Bob) McGogy, Vera (Eric) Kaiser, brother in law Hugh Wong, aunts Doreen Gangloff and JoAnne (Lee) Moore, numerous nieces and nephews, plus special friends Lil and Norm Boyer and Cathy and John Deley.
A Memorial Funeral Service to Celebrate Heather’s life will be held Friday June 29th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Moffat Chapel of Stevens Funeral Homes with Mardi Plomp officiating. Interment of ashes will be in the Dryden Cemetery.
