If you want to learn more about what happens in the Experimental Lakes Area, west of Vermilion Bay, now is your chance.
The facility is holding its annual Fall Open House from 10am to 3pm on Saturday September 23rd.
IISD Deputy Director Pauline Gerrard says they are happy to open their doors and welcome anyone who is interested in seeing the science, meeting the researchers and helping in the work that’s being done at the facility.
Gerrard stresses they will have a lot of hands-on activities, so it will be a great learning experience for kids.
Gerrard notes it will also their scientists to speak to people across the region to determine their concerns or interests.
