Another graduate from last year’s Dryden GM Ice Dogs championship team is moving on to play college hockey.
Goalie Ben Dennis has committed to Portage College in Lac La Biche, Alberta for the upcoming season.
The Voyageurs play in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
The native of Kenora was tied for first in the SIJHL last season with 22-wins and didn’t lose a single game in regulation time.
He also posted a 2.64-goals against average and a 919-save percentage.
The 21-year-old was the co-winner of the Ice Dogs top local player award.
