Multiple witnesses have testified at the inquest looking into the death of Grassy Narrows resident Gloria Assin who died in police custody.
Wednesday afternoon, Glen Code, a Collision Reconstruction Specialist with the Special Investigations Unit, was called to the stand.
Code was sent to Kenora to investigate the scene of the collision involving a OPP cruiser and a transport on September 24th, 2012.
Over the course of his investigation Code looked into road conditions, traffic light conditions, both vehicles conditions as well data collected from the vehicles after the crash.
He went over his whole report with the jury but noted some areas of interest.
Code stated that no evidence was found of impact to the back of the Chevy Tahoe driven by the OPP officers.
Code said in his expert opinion nothing had come into contact with the back of that vehicle.
He said on top of the fact there was no physical damage, dust on the back of the vehicle was undisturbed.
Code also testified that both the semi tractor trailer and Tahoe had no evidence of mechanical or transmission failure before or at the time of the crash.
He also noted that the front two airbags in the vehicle had not been deployed, but the ones in the rear had.
Going over seatbelts Code noted that Officer Bender was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, neither was Assin but Officer Edwards was.
The inquest continues Thursday in Kenora.
