Shirley Froome
December 7, 1959 – December 1, 2016
In loving memory of Shirley Froome, age 56 years, who passed away suddenly on Thursday December 1st, 2016 in Hamilton General Hospital.
Shirley is survived by her husband Rick, sons Rick Jr. (Deidra) of Saskatoon and Christopher (Megan) of Winnipeg, 2 granddaughters Londyn and Logyn, brother Harvey (June) Cormylo of B.C. , sister-in-law Shirley Cormylo of B.C., and brother Greg of B.C., several other relatives, nieces and nephews, as well as her extended Timbermax family. Shirley is predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Catherine Ploksuik, Aunt Georgiana, brothers Gary and Glenn.
Shirley was born in Dryden, where she lived her entire life. As a teenager she worked at local businesses Timber Lanes and Kuppers until finding her calling working for the local hardware store at age 17. Shirley spent 35+ years working in the office as the company changed over time most notably being the current Timbermax location. Aside from work, Shirley had a love for any Holiday season which gave her the opportunity to decorate, give gifts, and spoil her friends and family.
Shirley had an adventurous spirit. She enjoyed camping with her children, taking long bike rides with her husband across Western Canada and Minnesota, and fishing in the West-Arm of Wabigoon Lake. Shirley also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, seeing various concerts and shows over the years. Her favourite being the different Cirque Du Soleil performances.
Shirley was loved by everyone and she will be sadly missed. Shirley will live on through the memories of everyone she has touched with her motherly love.
A Memorial Funeral Service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held Friday December 16th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Full Gospel Church with Pastor Nick Amodeo officiating. A Private interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery.
