A busy weekend for City fire crews.
Friday night, both Dryden fire halls were called to Airport road for an outdoor hot tub and deck that was on fire.
Crews had to cut a portion of the large deck are and fiberglass hot tub to reach and extinguish the fire burning underneath.
Thankfully damage was limited to the hot tub and deck only.
The cause of the blaze is centered around the hot tub pump motor.
Meanwhile, Sunday night they were called to a Dingwall Parkway residence to check out the smell of gas in a home’s basement service room.
On arrival crews found the hot water tank leaking water in the basement and shut off the water and gas to the tank.
Union Gas is investigating the odour cause.
No injuries occurred and the occupants were allowed back in the home after a hour. (Photo supplied)
