A tough night on the ice for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and English River Miners.
The Dogs blew a 5-1 lead and lost 7-6 in a shootout to the Thunder Bay North Stars Friday at the Memorial Arena.
Matt Houston scored a pair of goals for Dryden while Troy Williams, Jonathan Philley, Cole Golka and Blake Berg added singles.
In Ear Fall, the Minnesota Iton Rangers also came back to defeat English River.
Dominic Blouin, Ian Bablitz and Layne Anderson scored for the Miners.
Dryden is back on the ice Satursay at 7:30 against Minnesota.
