Dryden is taking action on outstanding tax issues at Domtar.
Chief Administrative Officer Andre Larabie says the company hasn’t paid its 2013 and 2014 tax bills.
Larabie has been selected to resolve the outstanding taxation issues with the forestry giant.
The exact amount owing hasn’t been released.
Larabie says they want to negotiate with the company but notes the deadline to take legal action through the courts is the end of December.
He is hoping it doesn’t go that far.
Domtar is appealing its 2013 tax bill, but Larabie says everyone should still be paying their bill on time.
