It’s the stretch run for the two candidates vying for the Federal Conservative nomination in the Kenora riding.
Party members will vote Saturday for either Dryden Councilor Bill Brown or Kenora Economic Development Officer Grant Carlson.
Brown says he had a successful membership drive and he is ready to go.
He adds he doesn’t believe the nomination will come down to a contest between Dryden and Kenora.
Carlson believes he has come a long way since he first announced his intention to run and he will spend the next 2 days making some phone calls and tying up some loose ends.
Brown will be holding a meet-and-greet at the Dryden Holiday Inn from 5 to 8 today, while Carlson will host his session on Friday, same time-same place.
Conservative members will be able to vote in Dryden Saturday from 10-1 a t the Ukrainian Hall and 3-6 at the Kenora Lakeside Inn.
