A Fort Frances man will spend a total of 15 years in jail in connection with the death of his common-law wife.
Michael Tetu pleaded guilty to manslaughter yesterday.
He will also spend time in jail concurrently for his part in a hostage taking situation at the Fort Frances Jail last summer.
The judge gave Tetu credit for the time he has already spent in jail since his arrest in October of 2000.
When the judge asked Tetu for any comments, his only response was that he was truly and sincerely sorry.
