Sacred Heart School in Sioux Lookout will be holding a bottle drive on Saturday May 25th starting at 9 am. Students and parents will be out in the community's of Sioux Lookout and Hudson looking to collect bottles. If anyone would like to drop off their empty bottles they can drop them off at 40 Prince Street or call Yvonne or Don At 737-2448 for pick-up. This is a fundraising event for our Grade 8 Toronto trip for the class of 2014

In Celebration of Mental Health Week the Canadian Mental Health Association, An Evening with Kendra Fisher on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Centre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the presentation at 7:00 p.m. FREE ADMISSION
She is an advocate for Mental Health and a former member of Team Canada Women’s Hockey Program.
Kendra grew up in Kincardine, Ontario. With the support of her family and town behind her, Kendra quickly achieved great successes in her hockey career. Years ago, when faced with the opportunity to realize her dream of goaltending for Team Canada, Kendra was diagnosed with a Severe Anxiety Disorder coupled with Severe Panic Attacks, Depression and Agoraphobia; forcing her to leave the National Program in order to seek help to learn how to live with what had become a crippling disease.
Kendra now shares her personal journey and has joined efforts to bring Mental Health issues to the forefront. It is her hope that her story will offer both hope and promise to others dealing with Mental Illness.

We will be promoting healthy living through presentations on nutrition, physical activity, and self esteem. As well as having different fitness classes.
